fun with steak was a flip-book animation that originally appeared
in the UC santa barbara film publication, FOCUS
(volume XVI, 1996). brilliant essays on film history,
theory, and analysis were completely undermined by crudely drawn stick
figures with meat on the bottom corner of each page.
